    Codine for bad pain I use codine-phosphate tablets in conjunction with Ibuprofen, or in AC&C (ASA,Codine,Caffine), to reduce pain that is unreduced by ASA or Ibuprofen alone. In severe cases, the combination only serves to take the edge off of the pain.. but even that is welcomed. Because it is a narcotic, Codine must be used with care. Not everyone tolerates it well, and those who have unpleasent side effects should not take the drug again.
